Emmerdale spoilers this week: John exposed when Victoria finds out the truth about Aidan Moore

This week’s Emmerdale spoilers reveal that John Sugden’s dead lover Aidan Moore is actually alive! Victoria makes the shocking discovery, which leads her question what other lies her brother has been telling her.

John’s secret life is unraveling in Emmerdale spoilers

Ever since he arrived in the village last summer, John’s shifty character has sparked suspicion amongst viewers. They’ve been desperate to know exactly what he’s hiding, and now they’re starting to find out.

John is not the man he claims to be. His past is full of dark secrets, ones which threaten to destroy his happiness with fiancé Aaron Dingle. With their wedding just weeks away, John has been struggling with control issues. The stress of everything is getting to him, and he fears he can’t always ‘be the hero’.

Victoria has taken pity on her sibling and wants to help cheer him up, Without John’s knowledge, she has decided to contact his former army friends to see if they’ll come to his stag. But Vic is about to find out that John hasn’t been truthful about a lot of things. Including Aidan Moore – the man he claimed to have loved and lost.

The mystery of Aidan Moore is solved

John’s lie is exposed after Victoria meets up with his ex-soldier mate, Connor. As the pair share stories about John, Aidan Moore’s name comes up in conversation. The story John told Vic, after she found Aidan’s dog tags, was that he and Aidan were former comrades. John also revealed that Aidan was his lover and died in his arms while they were serving in Afghanistan.

However, it now turns out that wasn’t the real story.

Victoria is stunned when Connor reveals that Aidan is actually alive. OMG! He explains what really happened in Afghanistan, and that Aidan is in a coma at a nearby hospital in Leeds. Victoria is astounded to learn that Aidan didn’t die on the battlefield and wants answers.

Afterwards, she decides to pay Aidan a visit in hospital to see him for herself.

It’s game over for John in Emmerdale spoilers

After being shown the way, Victoria finds herself standing at the door of Aidan’s hospital room. She goes inside, but makes a swift exit after being confronted by truth.

Feeling shaken, but determined to hear John’s side, Victoria decides it’s time to confront her brother.

Soon John is busted when Victoria reveals she knows Aidan is at a hospital a few miles away. Cornered and losing control, John goes into flight mode as his sister scolds him over his deception. Is John about to show Victoria his true colours? And is she in danger?

Emmerdale usually airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, with an early release at 7am on ITVX.
