Moira’s killer past comes back to haunt her in next week’s Emmerdale spoilers. But that’s only the beginning of the farmer’s problems as Butlers teeters on the brink of collapse. Is Moira about to lose everything?

Moira fears for her future in Emmerdale spoilers

Moira was hoping for a happier 2025, but that’s not really working out so far.

Her livelihood is under threat thanks to John Sugden sabotaging the slurry pipe at Butlers. Moira thinks Mack is to blame for what happened and has turned her back on her brother. And to make matters worse, the insurance company won’t pay out. Moira now has to face the very real possibility of losing her tenure at Butlers.

Then there’s the issue of Ross’s long-lost brother, Lewis. His arrival in their lives has stirred up dark memories from Moira’s past. Moira killed Lewis’s mum Emma Barton back in 2017 when she pushed her nemesis off a viaduct. So far she’s got away with murder. But for how much longer?

Lewis asks to meet Moira

After their disastrous first meeting, Ross never expected to hear from Lewis again. But this week he gets back in touch, wanting to build a relationship.

Ross initially ignores Lewis’s attempts to get close, but then temptation gets the better of him.

The pair come face-to-face again and Lewis is keen to find out more about their late mum. He tries to wangle family secrets out of Ross, then asks if he can be introduced to Moira. Ross, who knows exactly what Moira did to Emma, is understandably unsure.

What will he do?

Moira is at her wits end in Emmerdale spoilers

Just as Moira is considering cutting her losses and handing over the farm, Ross arrives. He explains that Lewis, “the son of a woman she killed” is waiting outside and would like to talk.

Moira braces herself for the encounter, but it all becomes too much. As traumatic memories surface she ends up buckling under the weight of her guilt.

Will Moira crack and confess her sins to Lewis?
