I’m A Celebrity South Africa viewers fuming over Ashley Roberts' 'impossible' trial
Fans were not impressed...I’m A Celebrity South Africa viewers have hit out at the show for putting Ashley Roberts through an “impossible” Bushtucker Trial.
The ITV programme returned to screens on Monday night (April 20) and saw Ashley and Scarlett Moffatt take part in a trial inspired by Snakes and Ladders.
However, the complaints soon came pouring in as viewers watching at home were not impressed with the trial, with one person moaning: “Why do they make trials silly?”

Ashley Roberts’ I’m A Celebrity trial
On I’m A Celebrity South Africa, Ashley and Scarlett took part in the trial. It featured a huge board that Ashley had to rock climb up; essentially playing a game of Snakes and Ladders.
Scarlett meanwhile was trapped inside a box and was waist-deep in corn. This meant she was unable to move at all. Her job was to spin a dice attached to a rail in front of her using her face. Meanwhile the box continued to fill up with insects.
On the game board, if Ashley passed a square that had a snake on, she had to put her hand inside to retrieve a star. However, this was positioned under a grate. And as you’d expect, there were snakes in the box too which didn’t help Ashley.
Although Ashley at times struggled with the trial, she and Scarlett managed to win an impressive eight out of nine stars.

However, fans watching the trial at home quickly took to X to complain. Many moaned over how Ashley was expected to get the stars with all of the heavy snakes in the box.

“Blimey! Those stars were a bit tricky to get out!” declared one person.
Someone else added: “How’s she supposed to get that star with a massive snake on top of the wire mesh?”
A third added: “I was thinking the same thing.”
Another fan wrote: “How the [bleep] is she meant to move that star in there with them snakes in the way.”
Echoing their thoughts, a fifth penned: “I don’t understand how Ashley was supposed to get that star out from under the mesh. Why do they make trials silly? I want to see them struggle but I also want to see them succeed.”
A sixth declared: “That last star was impossible to get.” Someone else fumed: “Massive heavy snake sitting on top of the grill that the star is placed under. How the [bleep] is she supposed to get that out?”
