Kit and Bethany make a huge discovery that could help Sarah in Coronation Street’s ITVX early release

It’s been a tough time for Sarah Platt recently, as she was jailed for the murder of Theo. But while her family and loved ones have been left shocked by her arrest, her boyfriend, Kit Green, has been determined to do what he can to help her.
That’s obviously a bit difficult considering his literal job. But, Kit knows that Gary helped Sarah cover everything up. And so, in his eyes, if Sarah won’t tell the police that, then he will find a way to prove it.
Sarah is in prison in Coronation Street
A few months ago, abuser Theo was killed in a huge whodunnit storyline. And while there were several people who wanted him dead it was actually Sarah Platt who took the final blow.
In a flashback episode, the whole thing was shown to us. But after Sarah killed him, she called the one person she knows will always protect her – her ex-boyfriend, Gary. Gary helped Sarah cover the whole thing up by giving her an alibi and getting rid of the murder weapon.
Recently, Sarah was arrested and charged with the murder. But knowing Gary helped her, Kit reminded her that if she doesn’t tell the whole truth then she would go away for quite a long time.
However, Sarah refused to drag Gary into her mess again – even when Kit reminded her he didn’t do a good job as it all still came back on her.
Fans have been confused over her loyalty to Gary throughout the storyline, as it is literally going to cost her years of her freedom. And in tonight’s Coronation Street episode (Wednesday August 5), Kit has hatched a plan to help her whether she wants it or not.
Kit has created a plan against Gary
During the episode, Bethany arrives home with Harry as Kit is getting handed an envelope by his pal, Jay. At first, he tried to play it down, pretending that it was nothing of importance. But Bethany didn’t let it go.
Soon enough, Kit revealed it contained all of Gary’s phone records. He was hoping to get evidence of a phone call or text messages between Sarah and Gary.
Bethany was initially shocked at Kit’s plan, pointing out that everything Gary had done was to protect Sarah. And now they would be “pinning it” on him. But Kit remained adamant that it was the only way to reduce the sentence that Sarah is heading for. And soon enough, Bethany was on board.
The two of them took their time to go through everything, but they quickly realised that Gary was a pro at covering up the conversations. However, that’s when Kit had an idea to check the phone’s location the day after the murder.
When they did that, they were shocked to realise the phone had pinged at a wasteland near the canal. And with no murder weapon having been found yet – that could be exactly where Gary hid it.
So, with Kit’s plan coming together, could he be about to get Gary locked up, just to save the woman he loves?
