MAFS Australia’s Gia and Brook have both issued grovelling dinner party apologies online but fans aren’t buying it
Both have released apologies about their behaviourMAFS Australia left fans absolutely shocked by the vile scenes that played out during the Dinner Party. And following their behaviour, both Gia and Brook have issued an apology online.
In extremely toxic and uncomfortable scenes, Brook and Gia went off on quite a lot of people at the Dinner Party, mainly targeting Alissa and Stella. Both of the women had decided days prior that they didn’t like them, and so the Dinner Party was the first time they could properly cause a scene.
However, many viewers complained on social media about how it shouldn’t have been allowed to happen, and producers should’ve stepped in as the language and behaviour went too far. Now, both Gia and Brook have spoken out, and apologised publicly.

Brook’s apology for MAFS Australia Dinner Party
Following the backlash, before Brook revealed she was pregnant and engaged to her ex-boyfriend, Harry, she actually took to social media to issue an apology.
On her Instagram, Brook penned: “Last night, and the past few episodes of MAFS was an extremely difficult watch.
“What you saw last night was the worst version of myself, and unfortunately, Alissa and Stella were on the receiving end of that. I want to first sincerely apologise to them for my words and the hurt that I have caused. My actions were appalling and not at all a reflection of the kindness and respect that you both deserve. I hope in time you can forgive me, I am truly sorry.
“To the other couples and audience who had to witness my behaviour, I am truly sorry. Bullying should never be condoned. And I am extremely embarrassed by the way I acted.”

Brook went on to reveal she had been working on herself ever since the scenes were filmed.
“The Dinner Party was filmed in August last year. Since then, I have had time to reflect and learn from my actions.
“This behaviour is not a reflection of who I am at my core, and I hope that Australia will one day see this.”
She concluded by explaining she wants to “move on” with her life and hopes “those watching will choose to do the same”.

Gia has also apologised
Brook wasn’t the only one who had to issue a grovelling apology after the horrendous scenes. Gia, was also involved on the on-screen chaos and took to her Instagram Stories to apologise.
She penned: “I could speak on why I didn’t connect with Alissa, or things that were said and done to me. But two wrongs don’t make a right. Engaging in a cycle of dragging one another to deflect from our own behaviour is not something I want to participate in.
“I’m choosing to focus on growth. On being a better person. On working on my privately and being a present, loving mum. And a supportive partner. That is where my energy is going.
“To Alissa and Stella, I am genuinely sorry for the way I handled myself that night, and throughout the experiment. Regardless of what was said or heard, my delivery and my behaviour was appalling.
“I apologise for the disgusting language and the way I made you both feel. I am deeply sorry for the hurt I have caused you both, and I wish you nothing but peace moving forward.”

Fans continue to complain
However, it seems the social media apology from Brook and Gia won’t fully cut it for MAFS Australia fans.
In another interview, Gia made it sound like producers were to blame for the behaviour. And fans weren’t having that.
Taking to social media, one penned: “Spare me, honestly.” Another added: “No, no and no.”
“Producers are not 100% responsible for this behaviour. They simply shine a light on it,” a third penned.
Another commented: “Producers are responsible for what we see but honey, you are responsible for the words that have come out of your mouth.”
Other fans took to Reddit to slam the apologies. One wrote: “They did it just because it would get them air time.”
“The most insincere apology I have ever seen,” another wrote.
So, while the show may be weeks ahead in Australia, it does appear the drama doesn’t stop at the Dinner Party. UK viewers will just have to wait and see what is around the corner.
