Celebrity Traitors fans tip Miranda Hart as 'the best Faithful' ever as she lives up to her Miss Marple nickname
She's already figured out two Traitors!Celebrity Traitors star Miranda Hart has viewers obsessed after she continues to live up to her Miss Marple nickname.
The actress and comedian is among a star-studded line-up for the second series of the hit BBC show. She joins a cast including Maya Jama, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Ross Kemp and Rob Beckett, to name a few.
During last night’s (Oct 8) show, Miranda proved to be on top of her game. Ahead of actor Richard E Grant being banished at the round table at the beginning of the episode, she had already figured out that he was a Traitor.
Meanwhile, after actress Myha’la was the second celeb to be banished and revealed to be a Faithful, Miranda quickly put two and two together and sussed out that mathematician Hannah Fry, who Myha’la was going head-to-head with at the round table, is a Traitor.
She had also begun her suspicions earlier that episode at the breakfast table, straight after she had been recruited to be a Traitor by presenter Maya Jama and comedian James Acaster.
Celebrity Traitors star Miranda Hart praised by viewers
Despite being only three episodes into the series, viewers believe Miranda is playing a blinder as a Faithful.
“Miranda Hart is so good at this game. She obviously knows it’s Hannah and I think it’s only a matter of time before she convinces everyone else,” one user wrote.
“Is Miranda the best Faithful ever?? She noticed Richard after the Traitors were first selected, before his blunder, and then she immediately noticed a change in Hannah at breakfast. Traitor hunter extraordinaire??” another person shared.
“Miranda will win this!” a third expressed.
“Miranda Marple is good at sleuthing. She noticed that Richard was a ‘giddy kipper’ after becoming a Traitor and that Hannah was nervous at Breakfast,” a fourth said.
“#CelebrityTraitors Miranda for the win,” a fifth added.
“Miranda is Miss Marple. She has clocked not one but TWO Traitors,” a sixth echoed.
‘I’m scarily good at lying’
Ahead of the series, Miranda admitted in an interview with Beyond The Joke that she is good at detecting a lie.
“When I watch Would I Lie to You?, about 90% of the time I get it right. I very much see myself as a psychological sleuth with no training whatsoever and nothing to back that claim up,” she said.
She continued: “I like to think that I could guess when people are lying. I don’t like lying in real life, but when it comes to playing games in the family or whatever, I’m scarily good at lying.”
“Also, I’ve been nominated for seven BAFTAs, never won one, and we’ve got Michael Sheen in the building. But you know…”
