Notorious true crimes cases of Joanna Yeates, Ben Needham and Peter Tobin reopened in Disney+ documentary series
'Fresh revelations' have been promised in the gripping new series20/20 Britain’s Most Notorious Crime Investigations is a new documentary series that will reopen six infamous cases, including those of Joanna Yeates, Ben Needham and Peter Tobin.
The Disney+ series will lift the lid on the high profile crime cases that previously shocked the UK to its core.
Each episode will focus on one specific investigation and, as you re-live the horrifying details, prepare to be chilled.

20/20 Britain’s Most Notorious Crime Investigations on Disney+
Disney+’s new crime series will look at six individual, well-known cases. It’s highly likely you will remember most of them, if not all of them.
Each episode will feature new and exclusive interviews, with the streaming giant promising “fresh revelations” in each case.
In order, the episodes are:
- Ben Needham: Lost in Paradise. Little Ben Needham vanished without a trace on the Greek island of Kos in 1991. He was 21 months old. Ben disappeared while staying with his British maternal grandparents. His mum, Kerry, was at work in a local bar. Kerry features in the documentary and is led to “the murky world of child-trafficking”. Disney says the family will also revisit suspected burial sites and investigation an apparent prison confession. But will they discover what happened to Ben?
- Joanna Yeates: The Killer Next Door. Joanna disappeared without a trace following a night out in December 2010. Aged 25, the landscape architect failed to return home to the flat she shared with her boyfriend in Bristol. Tragically, Joanna’s body was found a short while later. Detectives found themselves being led right back to her front door, before arresting Joanna’s neighbour, Vincent Tabak.
- Ben Field: Thou Shalt Not Kill. Two elderly neighbours died in suspicious circumstances in 2015, leading detectives to investigate a charming young churchwarden. As they uncovered an alleged plot involving romance, religion and inheritance, they had to determine whether he manipulated his victims or committed murder.
- Peter Tobin: A Monster In Their Midst. Detectives investigating the murder of Angelika Kluk in 2006 soon turned their attention to a seemingly quiet church handyman. Their investigation went on to uncover a serial killer who remained hidden in plain sight for decades. Tobin was later linked to multiple murders across the UK.
- Jane Andrews: The Duchess & The Killer. Jane Andrews was a Royal dresser for Sarah, Duchess of York. But in 2000, she found herself under investigation when her boyfriend was murdered. Andrews went on the run and, when police finally tracked her down, she made some shocking allegations. Detectives began examining the couple’s relationship to determine whether she killed in cold blood.
- Mahek Bukhari: The TikTok Murders. A fatal high speed car chase begins with a chilling 999 call and ends with two men dead. As detectives piece together CCTV footage, they uncover an alleged murder plot involving a mother and daughter who found fame on TikTok, exposing shocking family secrets and an obsession with image.
When is 20/20 Britain’s Most Notorious Crime Investigations on?
Disney+ has confirmed that 20/20 Britain’s Most Notorious Crime Investigations will air at the end of this month. The series will drop onto the streaming platform on Thursday July 30, 2026.
The series will also land on the same date on Disney+ and Hulu in the United States.
All six episodes will be available to watch immediately. So will it be a big binge watch in one go, or an episode a night?
