Idris recently turned up in Speed Daal and reunited with cousin Alya, as well as having a romantic connection with Leanne Battersby. But, while Alya and Idris are related on-screen, are actors Sair and Junade related off-screen too? Idris is Alya’s cousin (Credit: ITV) Idris Nazir’s Coronation Street arrival Idris first turned up at Speed Daal and jumped in to get rid of some customers who were giving Alya and Leanne a hard time. He then revealed that he was in the property business and had taken on an agency nearby in Manchester. But, Adam didn’t quite trust Idris and saw through his charming ways. Idris has also hired Brody Michaelis to do some jobs for him, but Leanne’s been concerned that he’s roped the teen into his dodgy world. The pair recently shared a kiss, and even went back to Leanne’s place to continue things further. And, any warnings from Alya about Idris’ bad reputation and relationship history were brushed off by Leanne. Are they related? Alya and İdris are cousins on-screen, but fans might’ve noticed that stars Sair Khan and Junade Khan share the same last name in real life too. They would be forgiven for thinking that the stars are also related, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. As far as we know, their sharing on a surname is pure coincidence. The Corrie cast mates aren’t actually related off-screen. Junade does have some famous relatives though, despite Sair not being one of them. His two children, Alara-Star and Pacino, are rather familiar with the world of television and film. Speaking to the Metro, Junade said: “My kids are actually on screen more than me! My daughter worked with Angelina Jolie in a film called Anxious People, and did a Ridley Scott film, and my little boy has done a Marvel film and Waffle the Wonder Dog.
