Dogs have a fine sense of smell in a conventional way, but it has been suggested they can also 'smell' disease. One dog owner's husky, Sierra, was able to detect cancer long before her doctor. However, scientists still aren't sure how Sierra could possibly have done it, prompting Shatner to contemplate whether a more mysterious sixth sense is at play
