WARNING: This article contains spoilers for today’s episode of EastEnders, which is streaming now on BBC iPlayer, but has not yet aired on BBC One – in which another suspect is ruled out in the search for Zoe’s twins.

Zoe Slater ‘ruled out’ another possible father of her children in EastEnders today (Wednesday, October 29). This comes as Zoe grows increasingly paranoid after discovering a family picture has been destroyed by a mystery tormentor.

Feeling as though someone is out to get her, Zoe lashes out at those around her – including Kat and Vicki – leading to increased concern from Anthony.

EastEnders ‘rules out’ another possible father of Zoe’s twins

Witnessing a heated exchange between Zoe and Vicki, Anthony takes her outside to cool off. Realising how much she’s struggling with her family, he offers her a place to stay with the Truemans.

When she agrees, Anthony decides to broach the subject of her children. Realising what he’s getting at, Zoe reassures him that he’s not the father of her twins.

She’d been on the pill when they got together, and besides, the timeline doesn’t add up. That’s Anthony off the hook, then… presuming Zoe is telling the truth about the pill and the timelines.

However, she doesn’t take Anthony’s line of questioning well, and accuses him of trying to get her into bed.

Anthony shares worrying diagnosis with Kat

Following her confrontation with Anthony, Zoe returns home to The Vic. She soon makes up with Kat (putting Jean’s nose even further out of joint in the process), although there’s more trouble in store when she finds an old home movie playing in the pub.

The tape, which Alfie had found in the barrel store of The Vic, contains footage of the Slaters in 1988. Zoe is horrified to see Uncle Harry – her father – projected all over the pub, and explodes in front of everyone.

As Halloween night descends into chaos, she ejects everyone from the pub, before storming off herself. In the aftermath, Anthony approaches Kat.

He tells her that he’s worried Zoe is suffering a psychotic break.
