Eve previously unveiled her new look last month, during a brief scene with Kat outside The Queen Vic. She’s taken a more prominent role this week amid Jean’s ongoing spiral, stepping up in support of Lily and the Slaters. This has given viewers a good look at Eve’s new ‘do – which now matches that of real-life actress Heather Peace. And, amid growing fears for Jean, compliments on Eve’s new pixie cut continued to roll in. “Eve is so pretty. This hairstyle really suits her,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “I love Eve’s hair,” said another, via X. Since her cancer treatment, Heather had been wearing a wig to play Eve (Credit: BBC) Heather Peace bids goodbye to ‘old friend’ These scenes come after star Heather retired the wig she had previously used to play Eve. Back in September, the actress took to Instagram to share the news that she’d be bidding farewell to her ‘old friend,’ sharing a series of videos to her Instagram account. The star, who doctors diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2024, joined make-up artist Gary Jordan in making the announcement. In a triumphant video, she told fans: “From here on in, we’ll be shorn. Like a sheep!” Elsewhere in the video, co-star Balvinder Sopal – who plays Eve’s screen wife Suki Panesar – joined Heather in celebration. “I’d just like to give a round of applause to the wig! It’s a wrap on the wig!” she cheered. “Bless her! She’s done! She’s never missed a day!” Heather said of the wig. Meanwhile, Balvinder joked: “She’s never got a line wrong! Always on time, looking sharp!” Following her diagnosis, Heather went on to have a mastectomy on her left breast, as well as reconstruction.
