Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that Zoe is a grown-up, adult woman and not a petulant teenager! Features Kat Slater Zoe Slater Share By Kerry Barrett Nov 1 2025 By Kerry Barrett Nov 1 2025 Our EastEnders review this week is a real horror show! Because it was Halloween in Albert Square and it was a certainly a fright night! It was all about the Slaters this week and it was a proper scary one. There were some spooky goings on at The Queen Vic, a few home truths shared, and a lot of barbed comments! Zoe managed to make the whole week about her (Credit: BBC/Composite: EI) Zoe, Kat and a cat It was all about the Slaters this week and it was a real horror show! There were some spooky goings on at The Queen Vic, a few home truths shared, and a lot of barbed comments! It’s hard to know where to start with Zoe. But she was being super weird about her cat. And the cracked, bloodied photo. And the home video. And the Halloween party. And just about everything. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that Zoe is in her forties. She is a grown-up, adult woman. But everyone still treats her like a stroppy teenager. She really needs to sort herself out quickly. Article continues below Read all the latest spoilers In fact, we loved Kat finally telling her daughter some home truths. Zoe is spoiled and petulant and like Tommy said, the bad stuff that happened to Kat is far worse than what happened to Zoe. Imagine teenager Tommy being wiser than his much older sister, eh? And speaking of Tommy, wasn’t he just so sweet when Kat explained the truth about what had happened to her as a teenager? Anyway, we’re not sure Anthony’s right when he said Zoe’s having an episode, but we definitely think there’s something going on with her. We loved the home video from 1988 (Credit: BBC) A blast of Slaters from the past in our EastEnders review We loved the home video from Halloween back in 1988. Wasn’t the casting brilliant? It was a lovely glimpse into the Slaters’ younger days. But OMG how much of a doofus is Alfie? Obviously there was a chance Uncle Harry would be in the video and Alfie should have checked first. Kat told Zoe some home truths (Credit: BBC) Nasty comments in our EastEnders review We think Zoe needs a refresher in everything that’s happened EastEnders since she’s been gone. She had a little dig at Kat about Alfie fathering a child with Kat’s cousin, Hayley. But she seemed to have forgotten that Kat also had a child – Tommy – with Alfie’s cousin, Michael. Keep up, Zoe. What’s Jasmine up to? (Credit: BBC/Composite: EI) Jasmine’s mystery identity The mystery surrounding Jasmine’s identity deepened this week with her waving away Elaine’s questions about her National Insurance number and other documents. With her curiosity piqued, Elaine roped Oscar in to find out more about Jasmine. But their detective work didn’t get very far. In fact, Jasmine managed to convince Oscar there was nothing for him to worry about. And then she talked him into letting her move into Cindy’s bedroom while she’s away! What is she up to? And why? And who packed her little suitcase for her while she was in hospital?! We miss Martin! (Credit: BBC) Missing Martin in our EastEnders review Big events in the pub make the loss of Martin very obvious. We still think it was a huge mistake to kill off such an important character. We just don’t see the point of poor Martin’s demise and we reckon he’ll be missed for a long time to come. Priya ‘helped’ Suki and Eve with preparation for their meeting (Credit: BBC) Felicia Focaccia Eve and Suki’s new-found determination to adopt a child came a step nearer this week with a meeting with the social worker. Eve decided it was a good idea to prepare for the meeting with the help of Priya. She swanned in with some glasses perched on her nose, a questionable Aussie accent, and a whole new identity. She was, she announced, Felicia Focaccia with her assistant Flora (AKA Avani). Needless to say, Priya’s contribution didn’t go down well with Suki, but we loved it. Priya is fast becoming an EastEnders icon! Read more: Who’s leaving, joining and returning to EastEnders? Complete list of cast exits, arrivals and returns.
