Emmerdale star Jurell Carter knows who killed Nate – and teases ‘massive unravelling’
The actor teased big twists to come
Emmerdale star Jurell Carter has revealed that he knows who killed his character, Nate Robinson – and has teased that there will be a ‘massive’ twist to come. The soap recently revealed that Nate was dead – chained up at the bottom of a lake after having been killed.
But who did kill Nate? That’s the question on everyone’s lips, and the soap is seemingly no closer to unravelling the mystery.
With Amy having died before she could tell anyone what she’d seen at the bottom of the lake, no-one but Nate’s killer knows he’s down there. And as the suspects continue to keep tight-lipped, Nate’s body remains undiscovered.
That won’t remain the case forever though, and it’s only a matter of time before Nate’s bloated water-corpse is discovered. But who killed him? Star Jurell Carter knows, but he’s not telling either…

As he sat down to speak with Digital Spy, Jurell was asked what everyone was wondering: does he know who killed Nate?
“Yes, I know,” the actor confirmed.
He then added that he ‘wouldn’t say anything.’ Instead, he teased: “When the unravelling does come about, it’s just going to be massive.”

Who killed Nate? All the suspects so far
There’s no shortage of suspects to have killed Nate. But, those most suspected to have done it are John and Caleb.
Fans have been reluctant to trust John ever since he joined the village and rightly so – the man is too comfortable around dead people. Add to that, he was the last one to see Nate alive, shortly before he ‘left’ the village.
Caleb, meanwhile, clashed with Nate after sleeping with his nephew’s wife. He was also indirectly responsible for Nate deciding to leave in the first place, after falsely accusing him of kissing Moira.
It’s not necessarily one or the other though – other names mooted include Tracy and Nate’s own father, Cain. There’s also the possibility that Nate died in the barn fire, as many predicted he would – and that someone is covering it up to protect Moira.
