When did Nate actually die? He wasn’t murdered, new fan theory predicts
Is someone covering up a tragic accident?
A new Emmerdale fan theory has emerged suggesting that Nate Robinson wasn’t murdered, as many have suspected, but instead died much earlier. With Nate’s body currently beneath the surface of the lake where a limo crashed on Valentine’s Day, speculation has been rife as to who killed him.
Fans are torn between John and Caleb as the culprit. And both have been acting mighty shady recently. John proved himself adept at covering up a murder when Anthony was killed in the months following Nate’s disappearance, while something about Caleb’s attitude towards his nephew didn’t add up either.
Whether either man killed Nate remains to be seen – but one fan has wondered whether he was murdered at all. Did Nate die in the barn fire?
Mack covering up Nate death to protect Moira, fan theory predicts
Writing on a Reddit thread, one fan shared their theory as to how Nate might have actually died.
“I think Nate died in the fire at Moira’s farm as he coincidentally disappeared the same episode (from what I remember?). And I think Mack covered it up! And is the one continuing to cover things up…” this fan wrote.
“What if it was Mack who disposed of Nate? Supposing Nate died in the barn fire and Mack found him and to protect Moira who caused the fire he got rid of the body and this is what Mack was running from in the flash forward,” wrote another on X.
Going one step further, another posited that Mack actually killed Nate himself. “A fight that went badly, leaving Nate dead and Mack having to dispose of the body. Why would they fight? About Moira, perhaps? From Nate’s perspective, she had completely ruined his life,” wrote another.
Is Mack responsible for the cover-up – or death – of Nate?
Was Nate murdered or did he die in the Emmerdale barn fire?
As recently as December last year, fans were convinced that Nate had died in the barn fire. Nate left the soap after Caleb (falsely) him of kissing Moira, earning himself a beating from Cain and a verbal bashing from Tracy.
Since then, nobody has seen or heard from Nate. Tracy confirmed that he hasn’t been answering her calls, nor paying child support. However, a present sent to Frankie on her birthday suggests that someone is trying to cover for his disappearance?
But who? Could Mack be trying to hide Nate’s death in an attempt to cover for the barn fire culprit – sister Moira?
