All three of them face serious charges of murder and perverting the course of justice, which carry lengthy prison sentences. Paddy has accepted there’s no way out and got his affairs in order. But with Simo now testifying, this might not be the end… So what do we know about next week’s trial? Let’s take a look. Paddy was worried about the future (Credit: ITV) Hope for Paddy, Bear and Dylan in Emmerdale tonight On Friday, May 1 Paddy was keeping himself busy. He wanted to distract himself from thinking about the next day when his trial will begin. After failing to persuade Simo to testify on Bear’s behalf yesterday, Paddy had accepted it was all over. But Marlon hadn’t and enlisted Graham to track Simo down and get him to go to court. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Graham did just that and Simo arrived in the village saying he would tell his story to the judge and jury. Paddy was relieved as Zara confirmed it could help Bear’s case. But he still knows they have a long way to go. After a big dinner with the family to support him, Paddy took some time outside alone. He looked out over the village he has called home for decades and wondered if it will be his last night of freedom there. April is first in the witness box and she is worried she will mess it all up. Marlon encourages her to be brave and tell the truth about everything Ray did. But April struggles under cross-examination and is later distraught that she has made things worse for her boyfriend. Marlon reassures her she was strong and did her best, but was it enough? Dylan testifies next, then Simo. All-the-while, Bear is starting to spiral as he relives his trauma in court. When Zara says they have no choice but to put him on the witness stand the following day, Paddy’s panic rises. Bear’s counsellor does a good job of painting how he was groomed and abused. But can Bear hold his nerve when he takes to the stand? What fate awaits the three men? (Credit: ITV) Is Paddy leaving Emmerdale? What about Bear and Dylan? The case against the three men has seemed fairly tight. Bear’s outbursts in the interview room confirming he meant to kill Ray, plus the bank accounts in his name and his constant fights in prison are all making it look very bad for him indeed. Meanwhile, Paddy and Dylan outright lied to the police over and over again, which surely won’t go in their favour? The soap is staying tight-lipped over the outcome of the trial and none of the stars have made any hints as to whether they are leaving Emmerdale as Paddy, Bear and Dylan. We know later in the week Paddy is worried about his job. He knows the outcome of the trial will affect whether he can still be a vet. But does this mean he’s still not found out his fate?
