Villainous Joe Tate took a mighty big fall in Emmerdale last night – being pushed out of a window by one of his many enemies. This came as they all gathered at Home Farm for Lydia Dingle’s birthday.

The guest of honour (who didn’t even turn up in the end!) was soon forgotten with the arrival of the police. It was then that the attendees learned that Joe had been responsible for Noah’s spiking – and, as a result, the death of three women.

The already unpopular Joe became even more so after that particular bombshell, and was pushed out of an upstairs window not long after.

But is Joe dead? And if not, will he recover from his injuries?

“Good riddance to bad rubbish,” Emmerdale fans shrug

Meanwhile, viewers have also shared their thoughts on whether Joe should live or die on social meida. And, ahead of his fate being revealed tonight, both sides have put forth their reactions to his fall.

“I hope Joe is killed off sooner than later and nobody gets caught for his murder? Just keep it between us?” wrote one fan on X.

“So glad never liked him,” said another, over on Instagram.

“Finally got his just desserts…good riddance to bad rubbish,” a third agreed.

However, Joe does have his fans – and some are hoping to see him pull through.

“I seriously hope Joe isn’t dead as he’s my only favourite character, my eye 🍭 and I really love Joe so much,” wrote one viewer.

“I know he’s been problematic but I actually really liked Joe! I’ll be gutted if he is dead!!” another exclaimed.
