But there is actually quite a lot about the case that just doesn’t seem right. Unfortunately for Moira, she was told the evidence has been stacked against her, and she will now face prison time for the murders. But Natalie J Robb has since spoken out about her future on the show. The timing of the whole thing is pretty bad, as Cain faces his heartbreaking cancer diagnosis this week too. While Celia did do her best to frame Moira, Emmerdale fans have a lot of questions. Because, actually, a lot of it doesn’t add up. So, let’s have a look at what doesn’t make sense to us so far. Moira has been charged (Credit: ITV) The passports… We all know the passports were found on Moira’s farm due to Joe blackmailing Robert. But surely the police would have tested them for fingerprints… None of Moira’s fingerprints would be on those passports. Actually, none of her DNA would be on it at all. However, there would definitely be traces of Ray and Celia. Or even Joe and Robert. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Also, Anya seemed to be the only one who wasn’t actually from the UK. So, why were there so many passports? If this was a hint that Ray and Celia had been doing the same thing to other people, it’s not that relevant anymore considering both of them are dead… Cain was also arrested but immediately released (Credit: ITV) Why are the Emmerdale police so convinced it was Moira? But this brings us to the next thing that makes no sense. As there were no fingerprints found, what on earth makes the police so convinced it was Moira? Yes, the bodies were found on her land, and the passports were found in her house. But, she’s not the only one who lives or works there. Plenty of other villagers have access to the farm, so it could have literally been any one of them. The sudden urge to only blame Moira is a bit strange. Anya died from an infection (Credit: ITV) Anya’s cause of death in Emmerdale On top of that, Moira was charged with double murder. But only one of the deaths was actually murder. Ray killed Celia. But nobody killed Anya. She tragically died from an untreated infection. Yes, Ray and Celia didn’t help her. But they also didn’t directly kill her. So, realistically, if Moira had to be charged for what happened, she should only be charged with one murder. And then a death cover-up. But perhaps there was no autopsy carried out for some reason. Ray was the one who killed Celia (Credit: ITV) None of Moira’s DNA on Celia in Emmerdale However, again. The DNA situation is really lacking. There would be none of Moira’s DNA on Anya’s actual body (yes, there would be on her blanket). But then, nothing of Moira’s – including DNA – was found on Celia’s body. So, how on earth can she be charged with her murder? Moira has said from the very beginning that Celia has been trying to frame her. So, it shouldn’t really be too surprising to the police that the blanket belonged to Moira. Also, if Moira was really going to kill someone, would she really be stupid enough to bury them on her land in her blanket? Come on, she’s married to Cain Dingle, she isn’t stupid. And there’s another DNA mishap, because surely if Moira’s DNA was on the blanket, Celia’s would be too. Even if she was wearing gloves, some hair follicle or something of hers could have transferred. DS Carter knew Ray was up to no good (Credit: ITV) There was already an investigation into Ray and Celia in Emmerdale Last, but definitely not least, there was a literal investigation into Ray and Celia already taking place. DS Carter – who has since vanished – assured Marlon that they knew what Ray and Celia were up to but that they were trying to gather as much evidence as they could. Does she work in a different department than DS Walsh? Because it feels like they need to compare notes. DS Carter would know in a second that Moira isn’t the one behind all of this madness in Emmerdale. Make it all make sense! While it’s amazing to see the incredibly talented Natalie J Robb tackle the storyline, we just have to wonder if it all could have been avoided. Because there are quite a lot of plot holes… What else happened in Emmerdale tonight? While Emmerdale tonight focussed on the dramatic and unfair arrest of Moira Dingle, there was plenty of drama elsewhere. Ruby heartbrokenly spoke to Bear about Anya's death, causing Paddy to panic and send her away. Elsewhere, Graham tried to help Joe and Kim, but neither of them actually wanted his help. Read on for our full recap of Emmerdale tonight. Graham tried to help in Emmerdale tonight Graham made himself at home, aggravating Kim as he spoke about staying for good. But Kim remained adamant that he only ruins people's lives and that she will retaliate – leading to him suggesting that she's concerned something might happen between them. Later, he overheard Kim and Joe speaking about the body situation on the farm and suggested they get ahead of the game. He offered to help but Joe made it clear that they are fine without him, leaving Kim impressed. Ruby struggled in Emmerdale tonight Caleb and Ruby were anxious to hear more about the bodies, knowing they were the ones to report it to the police. But while they thought it would make Celia look more guilty, Chas broke the news that Cain and Moira had been arrested, leaving them shocked. Later, in the pub, many of the villagers chat about who they think tipped the police off. And they all agreed that it must have been Celia, unaware that she was one of the bodies. But Caleb and Ruby tried to stay quiet, refusing to let anyone know they were the ones to call the police. Bear and Ruby have a heart-to-heart However, Ruby wanted to let Bear know that Anya's bracelet worked and was the reason she was found. While Paddy tried to stop her, Ruby took her opportunity and ran over to Bear to tell him. Inside, Bear relived Anya's death, with Ruby pleased that she didn't die alone. However, when Bear tried to insist that Ray was their friend, Ruby lost it, revealing she hoped Ray died a slow death. Paddy quickly intervened when Bear started getting upset, forcing Ruby out of the house.
