But Marlon shot her down for fear of what Cain would do. Er, it’s exactly what Cain would do that is needed here! Instead Marlon involved him by feeding him a pack of lies that really didn’t stand up. A golden opportunity wasted and we are frustrated! Marlon wasn’t on board with Rhona’s suggestion to involve Cain (Credit: ITV) Cain got involved in Emmerdale tonight After failing to escape last night, Marlon was looking at loans to pay Ray off, but savvy Rhona told him there was no debt – it didn’t matter how much they paid Ray, he would just keep increasing it. She suggested they tell Cain. Hallelujah. Marlon thought it was too risky and Cain was too volatile. Rhona kept pushing – the family from Ireland, Ross, they could all help. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Marlon did decide to go and visit Cain and tried to sell him his car. But Cain smelled a rat and wanted to know what was really going on. Marlon raced off in a strop, but Ray had let himself into the house and was waiting for him. Marlon demanded to know how much the debt was to get them out of their lives. Ray wants £20k and Marlon promised to get it. Ray didn’t want to wait though, he insisted April works until Marlon gets the money. As Ray was issuing more threats to Marlon, Cain walked in and overheard. He demanded to know what was going on. Cain was ready to sort Ray out until Marlon made it worse (Credit: ITV) Marlon’s lies mess everything up Marlon lied he had smashed into Ray’s car and owed him moeny for it. Cain told Ray to do one and stop hassling Marlon before asking for more answers from his cousin. Marlon did a bodge job trying to lie that he’d failed to renew the insurance and that Ray had already had his car fixed so Cain couldn’t step in and do the job cheap. Marlon told Cain to back off. But Ray made more threats that he wanted the £20k now and it would go up more and more the longer he had to wait. Marlon insisted he would get the cash and that Cain wouldn’t be a bother. Rhona was really worried Ray would not stick to his word, but eventually agreed it was their only choice. Meanwhile Ray was busy wooing Laurel, cooking her a meal and acting all loved up. He was acting the innocent to Laurel saying he was owed money but the person wasn’t paying up. She was sympathetic to his plight. Can anyone say gullible?! Sam forced to grovel Sam was horrified to discover Matty hadn't offered him a job after all and he'd jacked things in with Joe Tate for no reason. He tried grovelling to Joe, who was not interested in giving Sam his job back. But then he relented and said he would let him return, however it was clear he wasn't going to make it easy. Kim then stepped in and insisted Sam and Lydia were extended family and would be treated with respect. But she also gave Lydia a measley bottle of wine - £5 from Pollard's - for a raffle prize at the Christmas fayre, which made Lydia rethink her loyalty to the Tates. Pollard revealed his scam to Kerry in Emmerdale tonight Kerry was excited by her £15k windfall, but Jacob warned her not to spend it. Kerry didn't actually listen and decided not to call the police, but instead to go on a shopping spree. She saw it as free money. But then Pollard found out and realised he had some explaining to do. He confessed: "I set up that account." He explained he needed a safe place to put some money away to protect the people he loves when he's gone - dodging the tax man. Kerry was touched that he'd given her £15k, but then he revealed the money was for Jacob, not her. And then she was furious. Kammy cramped Vinny's style Vinny was so excited to be spending movie afternoon with Lewis - until Kammy crashed! Lewis was pleased to see him, but Vinny was put out. However later Lewis shared that he thought it should be just them two next time. He also asked Vinny to read his prized copy of A Christmas Carol so they could discuss it together.
