What happened in Emmerdale on Friday: John attacked Liam as he targeted Mack
Liam was caught in the middle
Accident (or attack)-prone Liam Cavanagh was knocked unconscious in Emmerdale on Friday, April 25, as a vengeful John lashed out… mistaking the doctor for Mack.
And, as he rushed to the scene of the attack, John was quick to play the hero again. This managed to win over Aaron, who decided to give his fiancé a second chance.
Elsewhere, Kammy grew frustrated with Sarah, and dumped her after seeing her kiss Jacob yesterday. And, as she clashed with Billy over the kids, Dawn was having second thoughts about co-parenting.
Meanwhile, Tracy questioned Nate’s whereabouts, and Mandy worried about Vinny.
Here’s everything that happened on Emmerdale in the final visit of the week.

John attacked Liam in Emmerdale
Aaron was still ignoring John, who loitered in the street in his mismatched tie, shirt and army jacket. “I know exactly who’s to blame…” he mumbled sinisterly as Victoria went on her merry way, oblivious to her brother’s simmering resentment of Mack.
Still lurking around like a bad smell, John watched as Mack and Liam talked outside the Woolpack. Liam’s order of a whole load of manure was ready for collection, and Mack agreed to drop it off at the allotment on the doctor’s behalf later.
At the surgery, Liam was taken aback to see Claudette managing the receptionists’ desk. She’d taken over as John nipped away, accessing the diary he’d left open as he ran to the loo. Forgiving John’s abandonment of his desk and believing his claim to be sick, Liam agreed to let John leave… and go on his nefarious way.
At The Woolpack, Aaron downed his sorrows while Vinny and Chas prodded him for the gossip. Meanwhile, at the allotment, John struck, attacking the man he believed to be Mack with a very big log. Unfortunately, he was very much mistaken – and it was Liam who took the brunt of his fury.

Aaron forgave John
John ran and hid as Mack arrived, finding Liam unconscious on the ground. Mack phoned Chas, who rushed to the scene – enlisting John’s help en route. He attempted to leave her and Aaron where they were, but they demanded to come along to witness his latest act of heroism.
Liam was up and talking by the time John arrived, and was suffering only minor injuries. “John saves the day again,” remarked Mack as they watched, suggesting he might have his suspicions over Yorkshire’s Top Hero 2025.
And, as everyone scrabbled for suspects, John was quick to blame Ella again. Blindly convinced that she was responsible, Chas called PC Swirling and shared her suspicions. Will Ella be left holding the bag for this one too?
Meanwhile, in spite of Mack’s protestations, Aaron decided to give John a chance to explain himself. As they shared a beer, John admitted that he should have been honest about Aidan. But, having been won over by his latest act of heroism, Aaron was already back on side.

Kammy dumped Sarah
Following the events of yesterday, Mack attempted to cheer Sarah up with an egg and bacon sandwich. Sarah was still sulking at Charity’s interference in her relationship – but even more so that she’d egged Jacob on (no pun intended) in the race.
In the cafe, Jacob was also stewing, licking his wounds after his accident. He explained the situation to Tracy, who was sympathetic to his loss. He opened up about how he no longer felt like himself after Leyla’s death – revealing his hope that they might get back together. She encouraged him to do what he could to win Sarah back, Kammy or no Kammy.
At the garage, Kammy admitted to Cain how he’d seen Sarah kiss Jacob. He sought advice from Cain, who – in spite of his reluctance to get involved – encouraged the younger man to speak with Sarah.
Catching up with her in the cafe, Kammy demanded answers. He revealed he’d seen the kiss, but was sent packing before she could explain herself, with the sudden arrival of Jacob. She insisted there was nothing to the kiss, and that they remained Just Friends.
Jacob back in his box, she told Kammy that she had no feelings for Jacob. He didn’t believe her, and decided to break up with her. Heading to the Woolpack, he informed both Charity and Jacob that things were over between him and Sarah.
Done fighting, he and Jacob called a truce… but for how long?

Dawn clashed with Billy over the kids
At Home Farm, Billy returned after having done the school run. Dawn revealed that Clemmie was still in a mood. He told her that he was planning on taking the kids on a trip to visit his brother in London – which she wasn’t best pleased about.
As they clashed, Billy told her she’d no longer be in a position to make all the decisions, and remained firm in his plans to take the kids away.
Later, Dawn expressed her frustration to Joe. She was having regrets about having to share her children with Billy, but he had other things on his mind – and it wasn’t long before they ended up in the bedroom again.
Where’s Nate?
In The Woolpack, a skint Tracy bemoaned not being able to buy Frankie a second orange juice. Chas prodded her for an address for Nate, so that they might send him a birthday card, prompting more sadness from Frankie.
She questioned Chas and Aaron over whether they’d heard from Nate lately. But of course, no-one had… after all, he’s still manning his watery grave.

Having grown worried about Vinny’s changing moods, Mandy sat him down for a chat. She wanted him to be sure he was making the right decision. Is Vinny moving too fast?
