Corriedale speculation is in overdrive after the latest news about the soap crossover episode was released – and it mentioned a character called Jodie.

A full Corriedale cast list released yesterday listed actress and singer Olivia Frances-Brown as starring in the ep. But who is character Jodie? And which of the two soaps is she connected to?

Corriedale releases full cast list for special episode

The crossover episode will air on Monday January 5 2026 and will be preceeded by a single episode of Emmerdale and one of Coronation Street – so that is two hours of soap viewing to settle in for. It won’t be available on ITVX early release either, so clear your diaries for the evening.

After drip-feeding us bits and pieces, ITV has now confirmed which cast members will be involved in Corriedale. Danny Miller as Aaron Dingle, Jeff Hordley as Cain Dingle and Emma Atkins as Charity Dingle lead the way. They are joined by, Lucy Pargeter as Chas Dingle, Christopher Chittell as Eric Pollard and Joe-Warren Plant as Jacob Gallagher.

Others also in the episode include Chris Bisson as Jai Sharma and Ned Porteous as Joe Tate. Oliver Farnworth is returning as John Sugden and Jonny McPherson as Liam Cavanagh. Meanwhile, Lawrence Robb as Mackenzie Boyd will be hoping to survive his 25th life! Natalie J Robb as Moira Dingle, Joe Absolom as Ray Walters, Ryan Hawley as Robert Sugden, Katie Hill as Sarah Sugden and Isabel Hodgins as Victoria Sugden complete the Emmerdale line-up.

However, it is a character that no one has ever heard of who has caught fans’ eye.

Who is Jodie in Corriedale?

Listed in articles under the Coronation Street cast list was actress and singer Olivia Frances-Brown as a character called Jodie. Her name has now been removed from some online articles, sparking speculation from those who had already spotted it she will play a sigificant role in the special.

“What if ‘Jodie’ is Becky’s new girlfriend or wife?” queried one fan on social media.

Another said: “Thinking about the Jodie character they removed from the Corriedale cast list. I love a mystery single-name character. Could be no one, but could be important?”

“They remove Olivia Frances-Brown aka Jodie from the Corriedale cast list? They literally retracted all articles related to her. I’m so curious now,” shared a third.

A fourth simply asked: “Can someone please tell me who Jodie is?”

“Just looked up the actress playing Jodie on Corriedale and she’s a singer and actress so I’m thinking maybe she’s the wedding singer,” shared a fifth, suggesting the part is not very big.

As we continue to look forward to the huge piece of event television, will Jodie be a name we remember in years to come? Or is she nobody?
