Ross is a joy, Steph’s a liar and John must be exhausted! This week’s Emmerdale review
We thoroughly enjoyed this week’s episodes
This week’s Emmerdale review has left us with some questions – some easier to answer than others!
It’s been a good week in the village. Well, not for Steph, obviously. Nor for Ross. John’s had a tricky one too. And so has Tracy…
But for we viewers, it’s been a good one. Full of action and drama – just the way we like it!
AND as if that’s not enough, now we’ve been left wondering if Moira’s got Nate’s blood on her hands…
Here’s this week’s Emmerdale review.

Ross is a joy
Our reunion with Ross was, we have to admit, a bit of a rollercoaster. We were thrilled to hear he was coming back to the village.
Then we were disappointed when he was mixed up with beret-wearing Jade and her rubbish illegal boxing matches. Then Ross went really quiet and we thought it had all been a bit of a waste.
Until now! Now he’s involved with Steph and working for Kim and we are loving it. Because he is – to put it bluntly – an absolute joy. He’s funny and smart but he’s got an edge that keeps him interested.
Michael Parr, who plays Mr Barton, is a terrific actor and we hope he stays in Emmerdale for a long time to come!

John’s so sinister
And while we’re enjoying a love-in with Emmerdale characters, can we have a minute to appreciate John Sugden? He was busy covering his tracks this week after he accidentally answered a call from Cain on Nate’s phone. He even booked a removal man to take away Nate’s belongings and then torched them!
What a lot of effort. Never before have we considered just how exhausting it must be to be a murderer!
John’s really interesting as a character, becuase he’s so multi-layered. We adored Meena Jutla for being a camp, cartoony evil villain. She was bad through and through, there was no doubt about it. But we’re also loving John’s kind of accidental murderous intent.
He’s clearly feeling bad about killing Nate (bit late, John!) and trying to make amends. And yet he’s still sneaking about and lying and hurting Liam, and doing all sorts. We’re enjoying it all enormously!

Steph and Ross in our Emmerdale review
Yes we know we’ve already gushed about Ross, but can we have a minute to gush about him and Steph as a couple? They’re so good together. Two very damaged personalities who can help one another heal.
Their physical altercation this week when Steph was begging Ross to hit her was so shocking but an amazing scene. We’re loving it. More, please!

Is Steph lying about the therapist?
Speaking of Steph, we’re not sure where her torment is going to end. She went off to her therapist quite happily this week, and that makes us suspicious.
Was she lying about it? She’s definitely not given up on the idea of plastic surgery.
And as well as worrying about the emotional aftermath of the revelation that her grandfather is also her father, are there physical things she needs to get checked? Could she be more at risk of certain health conditions?
We definitely think she needs proper help rather than a therapist Caleb found online!

Emmerdale review: Poor deluded Billy
Aww Billy. He’s so boring and so deluded and so very dim. How has he not worked out that Dawn’s doing it with Joe yet?! HOOOOOWWW?

Did Moira kill Nate?
We know this is ridiculous. We. Know. But go with us here. This week, Cain decided he was going to head up to Shetland to see if he could track down Nate. But Moira wasn’t keen. Oh no. Moira basically talked him out of it.
Despite the fact that Cain – astutely – pointed out that disappearing this way was not like Nate, Moira thought it was a bad idea to look for him.
She told Cain there were, like, loads of wind farms in Shetland. Hundreds, she implied. She said it would be easier to find a needle in a haystack. We Googled. There is one big wind farm in Shetland and a couple of smaller ones.
So why was Moira sooooo keen to stop Cain finding out the truth, eh? Is it because she’s feeling guilty?! Was she the one who’d put Nate in the bad way he was in when John finished him off? Stranger things have happened in Emmerdale!
