What happens in Emmerdale tonight

Jai is angry at being under suspicion for Ray’s death and is determined to prove he is innocent. All eyes are on him in the pub and it gets heated as he defends himself.

He points the finger at April and Dylan before storming out. They are uncomfortable and then comforted by the family. But as the conversation shifts, it’s clear everyone is wondering who really did kill Ray.

It’s soon clear everyone has their secrets, but who has the biggest one of all?

Elsewhere, Paddy is still hunting for Bear. Mandy feels bad about being away and sends Lydia and Belle over to check on him. Paddy assures them he is okay.

Mandy then calls and he repeats the sentiment to her. But once he puts the phone down it’s clear he’s far from all right. Can Dylan find a way to comfort him?

Soap power hour has begun

In October 2024, Emmerdale began streaming the da

ily episode of the soap from 7am. Despite some concerns that it meant the soap was in trouble, coupled with lots of cast exits, it has been revealed that actually it was a great move by ITV as stats revealed viewing was way up.

The soap then announced a new schedule. The soap ‘power hour’ starting from January 2026 sees Emmerdale continue to air five nights a week. New episodes will also drop on ITVX every morning at 7am as usual.

However, the soap has moved to a new time slot of 8pm. The Thursday double bill will also be cut to half an hour to make way for additional episodes of Coronation Street.

This ensures faster-paced, digestible episodes – a 30-minute format which has already proven popular with viewers.
