The best friends have both been through huge trauma lately and Paddy has finally cracked. But as Marlon finds a way to help Paddy through it, he also must confront his own feelings of despair. Marlon is there for Paddy (Credit: ITV) Paddy spirals After looking at the bolt gun and flashing back to his attempted suicide, Paddy is in a panic. He then turned up at Marlon’s and his friend quickly realised something was very wrong. Ushering him inside, Marlon gently tries to help the vet. But Paddy is soon spiralling. He’s in a panic about the upcoming court case and what it means for his family. It’s all too much for Marlon too right now (Credit: ITV) Mark Charnock on the scenes In a recent interview with Emmerdale Insider and other press, Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon, explained the scenes. “There’s a moment in it when Marlon goes to another place,” he said. “Everything that he’s been through with April, all the trauma, everything that he’s he felt unable to do during April’s suffering and his family’s suffering, everything that he felt that he should have done at the time and didn’t, comes out in in this smashing up their kitchen table. He sees it as the sort of hub of their lives, where they would have had conversations about whose lives they were going to ruin next. “He just loses control completely, and Paddy has to talk him down.” But can they both accept what has happened and find a way to move forward?
