New evidence came to light a few weeks ago, which to us seemed cirumstantial, but she had the bit between her teeth and Walsh was not going to stop until she proved Paddy was involved. After pushing Bear too hard during questioning on Monday night, he snapped. He lied he killed Ray on purpose to protect Paddy’s name. And now Paddy and Dylan have come clean too, things aren’t looking good. She hauled Paddy back in for questioning. Paddy stuck to his story and claimed it was just horse rope and loads of vets use it. He insisted even if it was the same rope it proves nothing as Bear could have got hold of it and has already confessed. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Paddy was released, but DS Walsh was like a terrier and she made it clear she was not letting this go. Paddy returned home and told Dylan and Mandy what had happened. However he told them he needed to stick to his story and it would all be okay. Bear messed up big time (Credit: ITV) Bear blows it On Monday night (March 16) Bear was back in the interrogation room. DS Walsh amped up the pressure, determined to prove that he didn’t act alone. Bear tried his hardest, but it was clear that DS Walsh knew that everything he was saying was a lie. That’s when she brought out the rope, and began asking very specific questions about how he murdered Ray. She told him that from further tests, the threshold for self defence had been passed.Don't miss a single story! Bear explained his history as a wrestler, and it was very obvious DS Walsh was using that to make him look extremely guilty. Then she explained that the rope was tied in a knot that was very specific. And when she got Bear to recreate the knot, he couldn’t do so. As the pressure started to get to him, Bear told Walsh that he did intentionally kill Ray, but was alone when he did it. And he went one step further, admitting that he would do it all again. Paddy had Mandy by his side as he confessed (Credit: ITV) Is Paddy leaving Emmerdale? Tonight (Tuesday March 17) Paddy was beside himself at the mess Bear was in. The CPS has upped the charge to murder with a mandatory term of life. Paddy told Mandy this was his worst nightmare. After all the torment Bear had been through at Ray and Celia’s hands, he was now locked up again and facing that fate for the rest of his life. Paddy realised the only way to help Bear at all was to come clean about what really happened. Refusing to let him do it alone, Dylan said they would confess together. After heading to the station and telling DS Walsh everything, it became clear Paddy was in a lot of trouble indeed. He and Dylan are to be charged with perverting the course of justice. Bail is not looking likely for them given they covered it up for so long. Tomorrow night, the solicitor will advise the only way out is to find a witness who can testify Ray was intending to kill Dylan. With Laurel the last person to see Ray alive, she is Paddy, Dylan and Bear’s only hope. Will she agree to help? Can she even remember anything that might strenghten their case? Or is it the end for Paddy in Emmerdale? Nothing has been released about Dominic Brunt leaving Emmerdale as Paddy. But at the moment it looks like they will need a miracle to keep both him and Dylan from serving time in prison.
