Once-promising boxer Danny Ford is released from prison after serving time for his involvement in a dog-fighting ring, but he comes back under suspicion when the man whose evidence put him in jail turns up dead, apparently fatally mauled by dogs. The medical examiner reports that there were drugs in the victim's system, while Stevens is unsure that the death was actually a homicide.
