Cameras follow the staff of North West Ambulance Service as they care for the people of Lancashire. Dec and Nicole are dispatched to an eight-week-old baby who has stopped breathing. Dec also cares for the parents of the infant, who have been left looking on fearful for the outcome. In control call handler, Tom works to calm a 999 caller struggling with voices in their head and finds a unique technique to do so. A call about a patient coughing up blood is the next job for Anthony and Bex, while senior paramedic Lee attends a person trapped in woodland with a reported dislocated knee.
