In 2011, Grace Pine relocates to Montreal, Quebec, intending to write a book about Alanis Morissette's album Jagged Little Pill. Instead, she is drawn into the city's indie music scene, embarking on romances with two members of the up-and-coming band Bone Patrol, and eventually taking on the role of the group's publicist.
