Finals week begins with the five remaining hopefuls creating a dish inspired by a public figure or a piece of art, film, song, TV series or book. This is followed by a trip to the Ballymaloe House and Cookery School in Co Cork, where they learn the food philosophy of the late chef Myrtle Allen, before using everything they have picked up to prepare a celebratory dinner for some of Ireland's finest food producers, historians and relatives of Myrtle
