Nick Taylor became the first Canadian golfer to win this event this century in 2023 when he beat Tommy Fleetwood in a play-off two years ago. That victory made him the first player from Canada to win this tournament in over 100 years, with Karl Keffer being the last Canadian player to win this event in 1914
