The evolution of the prehistoric giants, using computer graphics and special effects to portray Earth as scientists think it was millions of years ago. As paleontologists uncover the remains of a baby triceratops, this first episode imagines the creature's life after it is orphaned and left without the protection of a herd, evading threats including giant pterosaurs and a tyrannosaurus rex.
