US actor Patrick Duffy, a third-generation Irishman, has always been fascinated by the communities that develop around their local pub, so he travels to Ireland to see for himself how bars have evolved and changed. Along with his partner, the actress Linda Purl, Patrick visits many Duffy's Pubs and other legendary boozers across Dublin, Galway, Donegal, Mayo and Tipperary, to explore pub culture and the changes it has undergone over the years. He ends his journey in his ancestral home of Kilmovee, Mayo, where his grandfather, also Patrick, lived before leaving for a new life in Montana
