When JJ LaRoche's house is robbed, he personally requests Jane's help with the case. The former head of CBI internal affairs tells Jane that one of the thieves got away with the secret plastic container he's kept hidden for nine years and begs him to solve the case before the contents are revealed and his life is destroyed.
