Between 1975 and 1980, serial killer Peter Sutcliffe - known in the press as the Yorkshire Ripper - murdered 13 women and attacked at least seven more in the north of England. In this programme, psychologists and criminology experts analyse the personality of Sutcliffe and look at events in his childhood and adult life that may have triggered his descent into murder, and also examine how he managed to avoid suspicion despite being interviewed by police numerous times
