In Porthcawl, a fisherman is dragged lifeless out of the sea by bystanders and the lifeboat crew race to the beach to join the desperate attempts to resuscitate him. A yacht loses control in Lytham St Annes and is in danger of breaking up on nearby Blackpool beach. The Poole crew are called out at 2am to look for a man who has fallen into the harbour
