Luke Humphries was the victorious player in 2024, first prevailing 6-4 against Dimitri Van den Bergh, then edging past his great rival Luke Littler 7-6 in the semi-finals, before saving his most dominant display for the showpiece match, when he won 8-2 against Damon Heta. Humphries was expected to be a force in this tournament once again this year, but potentially faced stiff competition from the likes of Littler, Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price and Chris Dobey
