Green and Cassady are called to investigate the shooting of a student at a political rally hosted by controversial speaker Judith Barlow. Their inquiry leads them to a number of suspects before the pair focus their attention on Malcolm Yates, a student with Parkinson's disease who did not approve of the orator's open criticism of stem cell research, which he hopes could one day cure him of his condition
