The second quarter-final sees restaurant critic Grace Dent make a gracious return to set the brief. Inspired by memories of times in the Lake District with her mother, she wants the contenders to create the perfect picnic, which must include two savoury items and one sweet. Imagination can truly run wild with this one, but Grace expects everything to taste completely dreamy. These are her childhood memories, after all. The cooks have 90 minutes to push the boat out and put a smile on Grace's face. Those who impress in the kitchen the most will be rewarded with a place in knockout week
