After a mid-series break, the drama following the exploits of the Los Angeles-based Office of Special Projects returns. Sam and Callen investigate when five men wearing US Marine uniforms are found dead in a warehouse and discover they were killed by a lethal toxin that could be used as a bioweapon. Initial inquiries lead them to a former military chemist who now has Alzheimer's, while Callen recognises one of the victims as someone who used to work as hired muscle for the well-connected owner of a strip joint.
