Documentary about the life of Irish surgeon Denis Burkitt, who discovered Burkitt's lymphoma. Weaving the patterns and parallels between lives, film-maker Éanna Mac Cana - a survivor of this cancer - creates a unique experience utilising his own recordings as an in-patient, as well as Burkitt's own extensive archive of photographs and films. His film examines the non-linear impact of trauma, colonialism and the ethics of medical work
