The life and times of the writer, who was born near Newbridge in Co Kildare in 1904, though was nearly 80 years old when her most famous book, Good Behaviour, was launched in 1981. She was subsequently placed on the Booker shortlist. It transpired that Molly had spent 30 years without writing, having stopped shortly after the sudden death of her husband in 1946
