An insight into the work of frontline staff in Yorkshire. Every second counts as critical care paramedic Zach tries to stabilise an 11-year-old boy who has been seriously injured in a multi-car collision. Leeds-based crew Ryan and Tom are called to a man who is struggling to breathe, and are then dispatched to an 89-year-old who has collapsed to the floor overnight in a state of confusion. A call handler deals with a woman who has been repeatedly jamming the phone lines with no real emergency - but this time her symptoms trigger a category one response, the highest level for life-threatening situations
