The semi-final sees the perfect time to test the remaining bakers' skills in some of the more challenging areas of patisserie. The bakers must control their tempers and hope they don't crack as they take on one of patisserie's toughest challenges for the Technical. In the Showstopper the bakers must conquer the summit of sophistication, the entremet - multiple layers of jellies, sponges or creams all encased in mousse and enrobed in a stunning mirror glaze.
