Hotelier Alex Polizzi tries to improve the fortunes of the Sunnyside Hotel in Blackpool. Owners Julie and David plan to spend £190,000 turning their three-star B&B, which has an occupancy rate of 20 per cent, into a lavish five-star establishment. Alex informs the couple their budget for the build, sub-standard service and lack of taste will prove to be stumbling blocks, but they are reluctant to listen to her advice
