After a three-day silence that leaves Finch and Reese wondering if the Machine has been affected by Kara Stanton's virus, it produces six seemingly random numbers at once. After a bit of detective work, Finch deduces they are searching for a serial killer who is assuming the identities of his victims and he and Finch find themselves marooned on an island during a fierce storm with a host of suspects.
