Breaking the Sex Trafficking Ring

Season 2 Episode 2 of 7

In 2013 a Romanian woman approached the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) claiming a gang had forced her into prostitution. Other victims need to be found to gather crucial evidence, but inside the brothels, fear and grooming had silenced vulnerable women. Detectives Rachel Miskelly and Dougie Grant turned to digital forensics and pieced together the movement of victims across country borders. They recall how, in a groundbreaking human trafficking investigation, the PSNI join forces with Swedish authorities, Europol, and Romanian agencies to bring the leaders of this crime gang to justice

The Crime I Can't Forget airs on BBC One London at 11:10 PM, Monday 14 September. (Subtitles, new, audio description.)
