The first international spin-off from NCIS kickstarts on the east coast of Australia. The local Naval Criminal Investigative Service led by Special Agent-in-Charge Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann) works closely with the Australian Federal Police led by Jim Dempsey (Todd Lasance) to investigate crimes on land and at sea. The death of an American seaman on a US nuclear submarine in Sydney's Harbour is investigated in a joint effort between NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police.
