Cameras follow the staff of North West Ambulance Service as they care for the people of Lancashire, with a deadly second wave of Covid-19 sweeping across the UK. A call to help a patient threatening to jump off a bridge requires an urgent response during a busy day shift. The police advise a serious road traffic accident on the motorway, while a later call reporting a stabbing turns out to be a hoax - leaving call handler Elly feeling frustrated and angry.
