A heavily pregnant Doreen reminds hard-bitten prison governor Ferguson of a lost love, and bestows extra favours on the mother-to-be. However, the preferential treatment leaves Doreen open to attack by butch Lucy and her gang, and the assault brings on her labour, with only Nurse Rose and Ferguson on hand to help. Meanwhile, a newly sober Liz reaches out to Sophie in an attempt to make amends, Bridget confesses her feelings to Franky, and Fletch recognises the man in Bea's sketches as the person in the van who tried to run him down
