Jordan v Argentina

Jordan v Argentina (Kick-off 3.00am). Coverage of the Group J match at Dallas Stadium in the USA, as the two teams meet for the first time in their history. Jordan will be hoping to advance to the knockout phase in their maiden appearance at the finals, while their opponents have gone 24 years without being eliminated at this stage of a World Cup. That came in South Korea and Japan in 2002 when they finished third behind Sweden and England on four points, losing to the Three Lions thanks to a David Beckham penalty that ultimately sealed their fate at the tournament. Since then, they've made it to at least the last-16 stage on the last five occasions and have reached two of the last three finals. They lost to Germany in the 2014 showpiece, but lifted the trophy in 2022 thanks to a memorable showdown with France that they eventually won on penalties
