Calvin Lee, an executive naval officer, appears to commit suicide by hanging himself from a public road bridge. When examining CCTV footage of the incident, Sam and Callen discover the dead man tossed away a small object before jumping to his death, and when they learn the late lieutenant commander had been working on a sensitive project involving new cloaking technology for submarines, they immediately take an interest in the item. The investigation draws the team into the furtive world of LA's Chinese community, where they discover Lee might have been harbouring some personal as well as professional secrets.
